2026 Deconstruction + Reuse Conference

The annual Deconstruction + Reuse Conference, organized by Build Reuse, convenes hundreds of industry professionals committed to advancing reuse practices within the building sector. This conference is consistently praised by participants as one of the most inspiring, impactful, and solutions-oriented gatherings in the field.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Reuse Rising,” focusing on how deconstruction and building material reuse can drive transformation, resilience, and renewal within our communities. We invite you to join us at On Jackson, located in the vibrant warehouse district of downtown Phoenix, for an engaging exploration of practical strategies, case studies, and success stories from across the nation and around the globe.

The conference features two full days of dynamic programming, including inspiring keynote addresses, educational presentations, and thought-provoking discussions. Additionally, there will be a members meeting and various networking opportunities. New this year: pre-conference shoulder events and facility tours will be available on Tuesday, November 17 and Friday, November 20 for further enrichment.

Tim Conway

Tim Conway is the President of mindful MATERIALS, where he leads a movement to simplify and accelerate sustainability in the built environment. For more than two decades, Tim has been a trusted connector across owners, architects, designers, contractors, and manufacturers — helping the industry come together to tackle its most urgent challenges, from human and climate health to circularity and the social responsibility of building materials. He is widely recognized for his collaborative leadership and his gift for translating complex systems into clear, compelling stories that inspire action. Tim’s work empowers people across the value chain to see their role in driving change, build confidence in shared solutions, and move the industry toward a healthier, more sustainable future.

Kyle Fiano, AIA

With a background as both a builder and architect, Kyle brings a comprehensive perspective to the design and construction process. His work reflects a deep sensitivity to the regional environment and an applied understanding of building science, the local climate, and local trades. He is committed to thoughtful material choices and careful resource management, ensuring projects are both responsive and responsible. Kyle’s experience spans all stages of architecture — from concept design through construction documents to hands-on building — allowing him to bridge vision and craft with a truly integrated approach.
